"Should we move here?"
That was the quote of the week last week in Arizona. Gosh we had so much fun! Only thing missing this time around was Bryan...his work kept him home. It's the busiest I have seen him in the 10+ years I've known him. I've gotta hand it to him...he works his a$$ off. I'm crazy proud of him, even though we miss him this time of year.
I decided to take the boys to my folks house in AZ for a week (they were there as well!), because I've been having a heck of a time lately taking them to daycare. It's never been easy, of course, but lately I've been a mess dropping them off everyday. I don't know what it is, maybe just seeing them grow so fast, seeing Hudson in pre-school, Carson moving up to a new room, the list goes on. I needed a week of them to myself, so off we went to AZ, for fun and relaxing in the sun. I soaked up every single second with them...my angels. Ornery angels at times...but my angels. It was a blast! To be honest, it made me want to live there...vacations can do that ;-). I even called Bryan one night and was like "I know you could be so successful here!" The Winters here in Omaha wear on us, we wouldn't have that in AZ...maybe some day.
So what did we do on vacay? We did a lot of swimming, we played outside all day everyday, we went to breakfast and dinner everyday (I jogged to breakfast...why not?) We met up with my parent's friends a couple nights so we could catch up and so they could see the kiddos. And our most favorite night...the RODEO! Oh my gosh, what a fun time. It was up in a town called "Cave Creek," near my parent's house. Its the cutest, funnest little Western town. The kids went crazy. We ate rodeo food, we had good drinks, we hung out with a horse named "Daisy Mae" and we watched a really awesome rodeo. One part of it is was kids riding sheep, whats that called? Mutton Busting? Hudson asked if he could try and that was a big "no."
God bless my folks (AKA Grandma and Grandpa)...they are amazing and they made the week so much fun. Hudson and Carson adore them to the moon and back. Hudson and my dad are best friends...literally. And their bond grew even stronger on the trip. My mom made it a point to force me to take some time to myself in the sun. I did. She was up every morning with me and the boys at 5 or 6am, because they never quite adjusted to the time change...and she always had the coffee brewing...thanks mom.
Here are some photos of the fun we had...we are going back in the Fall, but this time with Bryan. He wants to go to the rodeo!
