I'm a lucky lady...Bry and the boys, my folks and in-laws and some very dear friends, pretty much made it my birthday WEEK! That's why I'm writing about it, I never wanna forget it.
It started with birthday morning fun! I came downstairs and there they were...grinning at me, my 3 boys (Ace was sitting there too, wondering what all the excitement was about). My heart filled with joy and I started crying...I don't know why I started crying, but if you know me, I can't control that very well! Ha. Behind them, was a bouquet of neon flowers, chosen by my sweet Hudson, along with two cards and some really great Tom's shoes! Hudson ran to me as quick as his little legs could take him and squeezed me..."Happy 'birsday' mom!" Carson gave me quite the squeeze as well, he didn't know what was going on, but he wanted in on the action. They all made me feel so special!
*A quick side story on those bright flowers. The night before my birthday, Bryan was whispering to Hudson about something. When I asked Hudson what they were talking about, he said "sorry mom, can't tell ya." About 30 minutes later, I'm laying in bed with Hudson reading books and he looks as if he's about to burst. Like he wants to say something so bad, but he knows he's not supposed to. Then it all came out..."um mommy, I am SO EXCITED to give you your pretty pink and orange flowers when you wake up!" I replied "ohhh sweetie, was that what daddy told you not to tell me?" He paused with a very straight face and then said "please don't tell daddy!" I wish I had it on video...it was so great. He's like me, can't keep presents a secret. Its too fun!
I also had two fun-filled nights with my folks and in-laws...big thanks to them for pretty much being the best!
Then, my gals Jen and Kate took me for dinner, drinks and some real tasty brownies...they are the sweetest! We reminisced for hours, I loved it. Lastly, I had dinner with my main man and two dear friends, Nick and Emily. Going to dinner is one of my most favorite things ever! What's better than sitting down with the ones you love and catching up over a good meal (and wine)...its cool!
Dinners, cakes, gifts, hugs, laughs...LOTS of laughs.
